Ether.fi FAQ
What is the ether.fi Cash card?
Cash by ether.fi is a non-custodial Visa credit card that lets you spend your crypto at 100M+ locations worldwide without selling it. It's available as a virtual and physical card with Apple Pay and Google Pay support, and earns up to 3% cashback in wETH on every qualifying purchase.
How does cashback work on ether.fi Cash?
Cashback is earned in wETH and credited automatically to your account on every qualifying purchase. Rates are applied progressively based on your total monthly spend — starting at 3%, stepping down to 1% and then 0.5% as spend increases. The monthly spend threshold at which each rate applies depends on your membership tier.
What are the cashback rates for each ether.fi membership tier?
All tiers start at 3% cashback. Core members earn 3% on the first $2,000 of monthly spend, Luxe on the first $10,000, and Pinnacle on the first $50,000. Above those thresholds, the rate steps down to 1% and then 0.5%. EUR transactions use a separate cashback ladder to offset the 0% FX rate that applies to EUR spending.
What are the spending limits on ether.fi Cash?
Daily spending limits depend on your membership tier: $30,000 for Core, $50,000 for Luxe, and $100,000 for Pinnacle. There is no stated monthly spending cap.
What FX fees does ether.fi Cash charge?
USD and EUR transactions carry no FX fee. All other currencies incur a 1% FX fee, applied after Visa converts the amount to USD at the prevailing settlement rate. When prompted at a payment terminal, always choose to pay in the local currency — converting via the terminal (DCC) typically results in a worse rate.
What are the ATM fees and limits on ether.fi Cash?
ATM withdrawals cost a flat 2% fee per withdrawal across all tiers. The daily limit is $250, with a maximum of 3 attempts per rolling 24-hour period — both approved and declined attempts count toward this limit.
Does ether.fi Cash support Apple Pay and Google Pay?
Yes. All ether.fi Cash card tiers support Apple Pay and Google Pay for contactless payments in-store and online.
Which transactions don't earn cashback on ether.fi Cash?
ATM withdrawals, cash advances, peer-to-peer transfers (such as PayPal P2P), currency exchange, tax payments, gift card purchases, and money orders do not earn cashback. Transactions in gambling, real estate, financial brokerage, and card-to-card transfer merchant categories are also excluded.
