About Ready Metal
Ready Metal is a self-custodial crypto debit card on the Mastercard network. It charges no FX fees on non-USD spending, offers 1% cashback, and includes $800/month in free ATM withdrawals. The plan costs 120 USDC/year and comes with a free metal physical card delivered worldwide via DHL Express.
Ready Metal FAQ
Is Ready Metal worth the $120/year fee?
It depends on how much you spend in non-USD currencies. Ready Metal has no FX fee, so if you spend $1,000+/month abroad, you save $120+ in FX fees alone — the card pays for itself. If you mostly spend in USD, Ready Lite is the better choice since it's free.
What happened to Ready Metal's 3% cashback?
Ready Metal used to offer 3% cashback on all purchases — one of the best rates among crypto debit cards. That was removed im May 2026. The current rate is 1% cashback in Points. The no-FX-fee perk and $800/month free ATM withdrawals remain.
How does Ready Metal compare to Bybit or Binance crypto cards?
Ready Metal is non-custodial — you keep control of your funds. Bybit and Binance cards are custodial, meaning the exchange holds your money. Ready Metal also has no FX fee, while Bybit charges 1-2%. The tradeoff is Ready Metal costs $120/year while Bybit and Binance cards are free.
Does Ready Metal support Apple Pay or Google Pay?
Ready Metal supports Google Pay, but Apple Pay is not available yet. For contactless payments on iPhone, you'll need to use the physical card. If Apple Pay is essential, consider alternatives like Coca or Ether.fi card which support both.
Do I get a physical card with Ready Metal?
Yes — Ready Metal includes a free metal physical card with free DHL Express worldwide delivery. This sets it apart from Ready Lite, which doesn't include a free physical card. The metal card works at any Mastercard terminal worldwide for in-store purchases and ATM cash withdrawals.
Can I upgrade from Ready Lite to Ready Metal?
There's no self-service upgrade button in the app — but it can be done through Ready support. Important: when you upgrade, your Lite card is permanently deleted, both the virtual and physical versions. If you already paid for Lite card issuance or delivery, those fees are non-refundable. You also cannot keep both cards at the same time — switching to Metal means losing Lite completely.
